As the nation prepares for the 2019 general election, a call has been made to politicians to desist from any act that can destabilise the unity and peaceful co-existence of this country but seeks divine wisdom, kingdom of God and His righteousness, hence, every other good things shall be added onto it.
The call was collectively made by the Shepard in charge, Council of Elders and All Mother Celestial during a press conference heralding 43rd Anniversary of 2018 Adult Harvest God’s Shelter of Celestial Church of Christ, Mafoluku 1 Model Parish, Lagos West Province ‘A’ Headquarters, off Murtala Mohammed Airport Road, slated for October 22nd – 27th, 2018.
Speaking on their behalf at the briefing, Superior Senior Evangelist (Prophet) Sesan Adedeji (Shepard in charge) flanked by Special Most Senior Evangelist Ayodeji Odunaike and Most Senior Evangelist Tunde Abdulai, Chairman and 2nd Vice Chairman Parochial Committee respectively declared that at this crucial time this country needs divine wisdom and intervention.
According to him, “Without mincing word, the present situation in both political and socio-economic systems in Nigeria call for sober reflection. If our leaders fail to seek for the Kingdom of God and divine wisdom, things may continue to get worse on daily basis, thereby prompting innocent citizens to loss hope in the future of this country”.
Prophet Adedeji maintained that at this crucial period that 2019 general election is approaching, divine wisdom and intervention is required, thus, the need for inter denominational gathering of religious leaders to seek for the face of God so that He can heal the land as righteousness exalt the nation while sin causes reproach.
He warned the politicians to move away from anything that can cause blood shed and act that can destabilise the country, advising that they should always strive for every possible things that will uphold the peace, unity and progress of the entity call Nigeria.
According to him, ” Our leaders should seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and other positive things shall be added onto it. God has plan for us. Call unto Him and He will answer us. We should not seek the kingdom of wealth first. God owns the blessings, if we need His call, He will bless His own children.
“The leaders of today should listen to the voice of God, God still speaking to His people, He is ready to direct the affairs of this nation, I am not saying the voice of Pastors but the voice of God through them, by doing this, God Himself would stabilise the country and return all our lost glory as a nation”.
Highlighting the harvest programmes, the Chairman Harvest Planning Committee, Prince Aderemi Adejuwon said the harvest would commence with Women’s Day on October 22nd followed by Medical Consultation on 23rd, Spiritual Counseling and Combined Vigil on 24th, Praise Night on 25th, Cleaning and Visitation to Motherless Home on 26th and Thanksgiving Service on 27th.
