Nigerian popular rapper and Chief Executive Officer, Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL), Olamide, Adedeji a.k.a Olamide has formally apologized to the organizers of the urban music awards, The Headies five months after the outburst during the last award ceremony.

If you recall, the Mavin’s Records acts, Reekado Banks beats his YBLN counterpart, Lil Kesh to win the Next Rated Artiste Award which angered YBNL Boss, Olamide and he publicly cursed the organisers on stage.

Olamide expressed his disappointment with the choice of Mavin Records’ fresh artiste, Reekado, as the winner of the most-coveted Next Rated award, which comes with a grand prize of a brand new Hyundai car, ahead of his YBNL’s Lil Kesh.

However, nearly five months after all these, YBNL boss in an interview with Hip TV openly apology to the organizers of the award.

According to him, “On behalf of YBNL, I’m here to say a big sorry to The Headies crew, Hip TV crew and Mr. Ayo Animashaun himself, if not for anything, he has always been supportive.

“From 2010 when Kaffy brought me to the office, he’s more like my dad in the industry, so I had to find a way to come down here and apologize for everything that has happened.

“It wasn’t like I wanted to disorganize the Headies award or make it look bad.

“I am very very sorry, from the bottom of my heart,” Olamide added.

In his respond, the founder of HipTV, Mr. Ayo Animashaun, said, “Yes, you are forgiven. We don’t dwell on the mistakes of the past. We look more to the future for progress,” he concluded.
