The Nigerian Chocolate City rapper, Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, last weekend emerged African Act of the Year at the 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The ‘Oleku’ rapper beat Wizkid, pop star D’banj, rapper Naeto C, Duncan Mighty and Congolese act Cabo Snoop to clinch the award.
The 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Center after he entertainer his numerous fans with his colleague ‘Choc Boiz’ MI and Brymo. Ice Prince also performed at the event last year. He had a very good outing with his Choc Boiz fam, He says his performance this year’s was an opportunity for him to make up for his poor 2011 performance.
He was the only Best African Act nominee in attendance, and the only Nigerian. And sources say he wins because he was very popular in Ghana through his hits ‘Superstar’ and ‘Oleku’ which features Brymo.
His winning now places him the young rapper in a great position to further grow his profile across Africa, following in the footsteps of the likes of Psquare, 2face Idibia, Bracket and D’banj who are bonafide bestsellers in nearly every part of Africa
