Muhammad Ali’s body has arrives at his home town in Lousville, Kentucky where he will be buried on Friday this week, The Telegraphs UK reports.
According to the report, the casket, covered with a cloth inscribed in Arabic, arrived on a private plane from Scottsdale, Arizona where the former heavyweight champion died on Friday at the aged of 74.
His wife Lonnie Ali and other family members were on board the plane, family spokesman Bob Gunnell said.
The body was taken to a funeral home where the family will consult with an imam ahead of a private memorial service on Thursday.
That will be followed on Friday by a public memorial service in a 22,000-capacity basketball arena.
Former President Bill Clinton will give a eulogy and the event will be watched by millions around the world live on the internet
There will also be a procession through the streets of Louisville down the streets where Ali grew up and past his childhood home.
