The newly posted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 12, while on a courtesy visit to the Bauchi State Government assured of improved security of lives and property in the state.
The AIG, Jibrin O. Yakubu, in charge of zone 12, met with Governor M.A. Abubakar and members of the State Executive Council. He was accompanied by the Bauchi state Commissioner of Police, and highlighted some of the recent achievement of the Bauchi state command.
Most notable of these was the recent operation carried out in collaboration with other security agencies to flush out criminal elements and miscreants disturbing four L.G.A.s in the state. He thanked the state government for the support given to the Police so far, and pledged to continue to share intelligence with all security apparatus in the state.
In his response, Governor Abubakar commended the Police for keeping the peace in the state. He welcomed the new AIG and urged him to work together with other critical security agencies in the state. He also asked the AIG to improve the performance of all the commands under his zone, while maintaining a disciplined and professional force. He assured the Police Chief of continuous government support.
The Governor also used the opportunity to state that he has reconstituted the Administration of Justice Committee to ensure all arms of security complement each other to make Bauchi a secured state.
