The Nobel Carpet creative contest which began in October sought to reward creative youth who could draw up unique and beautiful rug design.Speaking at the award presentation to the three lucky winners at the company’s headquarters in Lagos, the General Manager, Lucky Fibres Mr. Jitesh Pamnani said, “We are pleased to present these awards to these three young individuals who have distinguished themselves by their act of creativity.
This is the first edition of the contest and we are impressed by the kind of artistic designs these young talent have put forward.”The first place winner, Miss Ayobami Odekunle was rewarded with a plaque and a full wall-to-wall home rug worth N100, 000; the second prize winner, Miss Hanna Dennis – a young secondary school leaver was rewarded with a plaque, a Samsung smart phone and a center rug, while the third place winner, Henry Sochima got a plaque and a center rug. Jitesh further said, “This year’s competition generated a good number of entries, hence, the judges had a tough time selecting the best design for the awards. We look forward to hosting the contest in the coming year with more public participation, greater and unique and mid blowing designs”
Expressing joy and delight upon receiving the award, Ayobami Odekunle an interior designer and the first place winner said, “I heard of the contest from a friend who runs a promo blog and decided to give it a push. My design was mathematical symbols and signs which was inspired by a client who requested a makeover for his children’s room. I appreciate Nobel carpet and rugs for this award which will boost my creative thinking and also inspire me to do more.”
Hanna Dennis, the second place winner who was full of thanks and praise to the brand said, “Nobel carpet is a reputable product and I am proud to be a recipient of the creativity award. My design was a rug with fire blazing hedges inspired by a discussion with my younger sister. Receiving this award has challenged me to be more engaged with creative thinking as I advance in life.”
