Dr. Wasiu Adewale Olatubosun, the standard bearer of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) for Ibadan North West / South West federal constituency has moved the contact and mobilization of support for the party for the coming general elections to the grassroots.
This is in furtherance of his spirited canvass outreach to different neighborhoods of the state as part of the effort to intimate and initiate more people for the ongoing electoral success of the party.
The development which was on Wednesday, afforded Dr. Olatubosun to comb Alago, Ado, Aro, Amuletigbo, Ogunleye, Ajanla, Victory and other adjoining compounds in Oke – Ado communities of ward 10 of Ibadan South West local government area where Mogaji, Baale, Baale and commercial operators passionately expressed their backing for ADC.
At the residence of Chief Rahamon Adekola, Baale Oke Ado which was filled to the brim by the ecstatic inhabitants of the community, Olatubosun who got a heroic reception with wide jubilation and fanfares by youths thanked the ecstatic crowd for the cheers.
He was subsequently commended for his unique campaign against the conventional approach by politicians by the chiefs and subjects of the domain in the opening address by the traditional council.
Alh. Rauf Olayiwola, Baale Onitolotolo amongst other chiefs implored Dr. Olatubosun to help in the development of their community with provision of modern physical and social amenities; school, primary health care centre, hall and others to resuscitate the drab commercial activities of the area.
While addressing the congregation of the traditional chiefs, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun thanked the community chiefs for the honors doing him to covet support from their council.
He disclosed his intent in the ongoing electoral transition was to serve humanity with purposeful representation in the next national assembly on the mandate of the good people of Ibadan North West / South West federal constituency.
Olatubosun promised to see to the human and community development by pioneering a series ameliorating programs to ingrain his name in the heart of the constituents and yet unborn generation with facilitation and provision of unprecedented people-oriented initiatives and projects across the lengths and breaths of the constituency.
The Baale Oke – Ado, Chief Rahamon Adekola who could not hide his joy praised Olatubosun for his developmental strides in Ibadan North West local government area during his reign as council chairman, grassroots politics and aim in the next dispensation.
He extolled the virtue of Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin for his stewardships in the 7th Senate from which he said Oke – Ado community and environs tremendously benefitted from in intervention projects and philanthropic gestures.
Chief Adekola therefore confirmed the readiness of the Oke – Ado traditional council to do everything humanly possible by working hand in hand with the Baales(head of compounds) and teeming residents of the community towards ensuring the success of all ADC candidates in the next polls.
At Victory road, Ogunleye, Ajanla, Aresa and others, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun assured the community people of better representation in uplifting their social and economic status with progressive and inclusive policies if elected as next representative of the constituency in the fast approaching national assembly contest.
He urged the gathering at the different neighborhoods to vote massively for the ADC candidates in the next elections by assuring that Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin’s administration as Governor of the state had perfected plans to assuage the series of suffering inflicted on the residents of the state by the outgoing anti masses government of Governor Isiaka Ajimobi.
Olatubosun charged the artisans and petty traders populated gatherings to go all out to convince their neighbors to join the ongoing civil revolution in the state so as to liberate all and sundry form the continuing impoverishment of the commoners by the All Progressives Congress, APC government.
Similarly, an organized youths group at Joyce B under the aegis of Joyce Youths Movement has endorsed the candidacy of Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun and ADC for the next general elections.
The adoption was made at the courtesy meeting which was held in the honor of the candidate of ADC for Ibadan North West / South West federal constituency at the playing field of the community on Wednesday.
Comrade Akinkunmi Aregbesola, the mouthpiece of the group speaking on behalf of the youths assured Dr. Olatubosun of overwhelming support of the old and young dwellers of Joyce B community and its closed environs.
He confessed that the group had been convinced of the zeal of former caretaker chairman of Ibadan North West local government council in changing the nagging narratives of disenchanted youths of the community with a workable blueprint in raising the standard of living of the constituents.
Aregbesola confirmed that the youths have mapped out their strategic plans to mobilize voters for the emergence of Olatubosun and others ADC standard bearers and subsequently protect their votes from being tampered with to the local government office till the declaration to be collated with others polled.
In his remarks, Dr. Olatubosun joyously thanked the coordinator and members of the group for the burning desire for the upliftment of the progress and development of their domain and state at large.
He assured the youths of a new lease of life with Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin as next Governor of the state as barrage of policies and efforts have been hatched to enhance youths development with provision of decent employment and economic enablement.
Olatubosun therefore charged the group to begin going from one door to another in propagating the candidacy of Sen. Lanlehin as next Governor in order to nip in the bud the raging social and economic hardships inflicted on the people by the All Progressives Congress, APC and Abiola Ajimobi led administration in the state.
The outreach which was facilitated by Mogaji Rahamon Bankole also had in attendance the local government and ward 10 executive officers led by Hon. Gbenga Aluko, Mr. Kehinde Tijani and many notable members of the party.
