Osinbajo, Ajimobi Remain Silence After Closed Door Meeting

...Decline questions from Journalists


Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state on Friday declined comments after a meeting held behind closed doors at the Oyo State Governor’s Office, Agodi secretariat, Ibadan.


It was learnt that, Osinbajo who arrived the governor’s office at about 3.30pm in company of the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Odude and the State Director of State Service, Mr Abdullahi Kure declined to speak with journalists after the meeting.   


His hosts, Ajimobi also declined to speak with newsmen.


The duo who were accompanied by their aides after the meeting later left the Governor’s office without revealing the purpose and outcome of the meeting. 


It was gathered that the meeting may not be unconnected with the lingering crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state and how to dose the tension. 


Among those sighted in the photographs sent to Journalists Friday evening by the Communications Team of the Governor’s office are Deputy Governor Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo and Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Olalekan Alli. 


Others are Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Mr. Toye Arulogun; Commissioner for Health, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan and Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, Mr. Bolaji Tunji among others.
