Rio Olympic: Nigeria Beats Japan 5-4


The Nigerian Olympic Dream Team IV, early on Friday beat the Japanese U-23 in their first match at the Manaus Stadium, in Brazil.

Coach Samson Siasia’s boys, against all the odds defeated Japan in the Group B encounter in Manaus despite arriving in Brazil few hours before their first game in the early hours of Friday.

Sadiq Umar scored the first goal for Nigeria in the 6th minute while Oghenekaro Etebo scored four goals to secure the win for Nigeria, according to Compelete Sports.

Nigeria are top in Group B after the first round of games as the other match between Sweden and Colombia ended 2-2.
