Satguru Maharaj Ji Expresses Dissatisfaction Over Plan To Sell Ajaokuta

If Nigeria must have an hedge way in industrialisation and become one of best economic nations, the Leader of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaja Ji has declared that the Federal Government should jettison the idea of auctioning Ajaokuta Steel Development Company which he described as the bedrock of the national economic development.

He made the declaration at the world press conference in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, over the weekend on the occasion of One Love Family Gold Feast, rounding off this year’s Golden Age Festival.

According to him, “It is would be a suicidal attempt to sell Ajaokuta.  Any country without this kind of project is not going to make it industrially since steel industry is the backbone of national economy.  Ajaokuta should not be sold”.

Speaking on the issue of national minimum wage, Satguru Maharaj Ji expressed the view that Nigeria can conveniently afford to pay N150,000 as minimum wage in an economy where the leadership is prudent and sincere.

“We don’t need Owanbe and Ojelu Governors.  And we don’t need importation of consumables particularly foods.  We need, as a matter of national policy, school and college farms to be funded by Government,” he said.

Satguru Mahzraj Ji then enjoined the striking members of the Academic Staff of Universities in Nigeria (ASUU) to be open to negotiations while also urging the negotiators to be neutral and avert a situation where the strike could be used to distabilise the country.

On the forthcoming general elections, Satguru Maharaj Ji remarked that it will not degenerate into war just as he reiterated that 2019 is the year that Nigerians would be able to decide on what becomes of the future of the country.

Speaking on how to achieve success in anti-corruption crusade, Maharaj Ji advised Federal Government to go a step further in the execution of its anti corruption war by adopting a mixture of civilian and military tactics, as applicable in Asian countries, in dealing decisively with anybody incriminated in siphoning public funds.

According to him, it is very necessary, at this point in time to checkmate the snail speed at which the country’s anti graft agencies are presently tackling the menace.

“Anti corruption war is on. There is no doubt about it. And anybody who says it is selective should come out with facts. But I would have wished President Muhammadu Buhari to use civilian and military powers in tackling the war to overcome the noticeable delaying tactics here and there, since justice delayed is justice denied. After all, we are all witnesses to how they fight anti corruption war effectively in the Asian countries such as China, etc.”

Satguru Maharaja Ji also canvassed for resuscitation of social values in the Nigerian society saying “corruption started the moment we abandoned our virtues, cultures and traditions as somebody can just wake up bow, steal and call the bluff.”

The Spiritual leader noted with concern that lack of proper management of the national resources gave birth to Boko Haram insurgency and urged the Federal Government to wake up and use all arsenals at its disposal, including native and traditional intelligence, to complement the military in neutralising Boko Haram thus preventing this social menace from escalating.
