Shekau Fatally Wounded –Army


Nigerian Army has confirmed that several leaders of the Boko Haram have been killed in what the army described as “the most unprecedented and spectacular air raid” conducted by the Nigerian Air Force while the terrorists were performing Friday rituals at Taye village, Gombale general area within Sambisa forest, Borno State.

In a statement on Monday night, the Army named Abubakar Mubi, Malam Nuhu and Malam Hamman, amongst others as commanders of the terrorist group killed during the operation. “While their leader, so called “Abubakar Shekau”, is believed to be fatally wounded on his shoulders. Several other terrorists were also wounded,” the statement by Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations, said.
