Wande Coal Parted Ways With Mavin Records; Appointed As Glo Ambassador

Few days ago, the news of the break-up between Don Jazzy’s Mavin records and popular musical act, Wande Coal went viral on the internet.

Though it was said to be a mere rumour but the records label issued a statement to clarify the rumour. The statement says that the record label, Mavin have officially parted ways with one of its signees, Wande Coal.
This was due to what the record label called irreconcilable differences.
According to the statement from Mavin records, it is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences.
The statement continued, “Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action.”
If you recall, about two years ago, Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj who was also a member of the defunct records, Mo’Hits also fell apart with the same issue of irreconcilable differences.
Wande Coal was said to have release a version of a new song titled ‘Baby Face’ and his former boss Don Jazzy also release another version making two versions of the same song in the market.
Meanwhile, another report this morning has it that the former Mavin record artiste, Wande Coal has signed an agreement with the second National operator in telecommunications, Globacom as an ambassador. He will be joining other Nigerian celebrities like Naeto C, M. I, Waje, Flavour and Burna Boy.
